Here are the results of the presidential straw poll held today in Los Angeles at the California Democratic Council's (CDC) annual convention.

Edwards 41%

For those of you not familiar with the CDC, membership in the CDC consists of the Democratic clubs throughout the state, County Central Committees, Young Democrat and College Democratic Clubs, as well as a number of ex-officio members.

A few weeks ago I attended the Human Rights campaign where Elizabeth Edwards was to speak. Many of us came from Marin, Sonoma,Oakland,Berkeley,Pacifica,and other places in the Bay Area and of course ,San Francisco.

 I brought my 2 young children ages 6 and 8 and my older daughter who is 19.

  I must say that holding up Edwards rally signs and  talking about Edwards was becoming a bit old for all three of them UNTIL we saw Elizabeth Edwards. My youngest daughter greeted her with an immense bouquet of flowers (that one of the volunteers asked if she would like to give)and Elizabeth kneeled down and told my daughter," You are my new friend". This same daughter,who is 8, wants to be President one day( long before she met Elizabeth). She dresses like a President...shirt ,tie and homemade sign that states her name and then President.

 Since this family is not a Hillary supporter, it has been a bit sad to not go all out in support of a woman candidate and have a great example of a woman President. Luckily we have Elizabeth who they can look up to. After Elizabeth's heart-warming speech,my oldest daughter said that it had all been worth it(holding up the rally signs),so that she could hear Elizabeth speak.She was amazed and touched.

  With that said, I am nervous about the Republicans creeping up on the Democrats and us loosing the election...

  I urge you all to turn off you TV and get out. Dedicate the next 17 months to your country. Volunteer to walk precincts or place calls to voters.

If Democrats can't see through the attack that Fox News and others are putting out on Hillary and Edwards conspiring to oust out some of the candidates from future debates,you really have to ask yourselves how gullible are you?

Yes disappointed.
 I guess I thought that this election  would be different. Democrats would be talking a storm about the issues ,the policies,the caring,the truth, the transparency ,and the  honest feeling that we don't care and will not care how much money a candidate will be raising because we care about the person and not the purse!

This might shed some light on what John Edwards has been doing with his time...
